People often ask why we chose to set up this business, this is our story…….

We bought Marley in 2012 as a 3-month-old puppy, he was a typical bullie breed, stubborn, crazy, but very loving. At age 7 years old he was found to have cancer and despite having major surgery he continued to deteriorate, and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep.

We had no knowledge of what our options for post euthanasia were, but we just knew we wanted his ashes back home with us. Once we had received his ashes it was only then we thought more about what had happened to him within the time period of him being put to sleep and his ashes being returned to us.

It turns out he had been taken over 60 miles away to an incineration company that many vets deal with. Many questions went through our minds, had he been transported on his own, or had he travelled alongside other dead pets? How long had it been prior to his incineration, or had he been placed in a freezer with others waiting their turn?

We decided there must be a better way, a more personalised, local and dignified service….that’s when Corpus Cremations was born.

No communal cremations, no plastic bags or placed in freezers alongside other pets, and no long waits for ashes to be returned. We promise a personalised, caring and transparent service where your pet will be treated as one of our own.

As pet owners and having been through the grief of losing a much loved member of the family, we are here to help and support you through the next step of their journey.

Your pet will be collected either from home or your veterinary practice and their ashes will be returned to you within 48 hours.

We guarantee your pet will be cremated individually with compassion, care and dignity.
